Roger Ganser

Roger founded Venture Investors of Wisconsin, Inc. in 1982. He is a co-founder and Managing Director of Venture Investors LLC.

Roger has extensive experience as a director of portfolio companies, over 25 years of experience in small business financing and ten years experience as owner/manager of small businesses.  Since moving into semi-retirement, Roger has been using his breadth of venture capital and operating experience to mentor and advise the other members of the team in a wide range of issues that they encounter as portfolio company directors.

Roger is Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Investor Corporations-BetterInvesting and Chairman of the World Federation of Investors Corporation.  He was a member of the New York Stock Exchange Individual Investor Advisory Committee from 2009-2014.  In 2012, he was appointed to a four year term on the Security Exchange Commissions (SEC) Investor Advisory Committee; he is a member of its Executive Committee and Chairman of the Investor Education subcommittee.  In 2013, Roger was appointed to the Investor Issues Committee of the Financial Industry National Regulatory Authority (FINRA).  Roger is a board member and past chairman of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Foundation.  Roger received the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2001 for his role in the creation of a venture capital industry in Wisconsin.  In 2007, Roger received the Distinguished Alumni Award for Professional Achievement from UW-Whitewater.  Roger has a Master’s degree from the Rockefeller School at SUNY-Albany and an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
